A Light in the Dark

The year is 1424 and, in your hilltop farming village, the shadows have consumed everything. The survivors huddle together in the church for protection, trusting its walls to hold against the monsters outside, while you find something that can save them all.

You are your people’s only hope. Will you make it back through the darkness surrounding your village? Or will you fall in the effort?

A Light in the Dark is a one-page, d6-based TTRPG about a group of travellers returning home with the magic item they need to save their village. It emphasises that anyone can be strong enough to succeed against all odds, not just heroes, and that everyone has a place in the world, even those we would cast as villains.

It was originally created for the A Super Chill Game Jam that took place in January 2024.
